What is channeling in minecraft?

Channeling is an enchantment in Minecraft that is exclusive to tridents. When a trident with the Channeling enchantment is used during a thunderstorm, it will summon a lightning bolt to strike the target that the trident hits. If the target is a mob that is not immune to lightning, such as a Zombie or Skeleton, it will be transformed into a Charged version of itself.

This enchantment only works during thunderstorms, so it cannot be used in clear weather. Additionally, the Channeling enchantment is mutually exclusive with the Riptide enchantment, so a trident cannot have both enchantments at the same time.
